A Community Perspective
Wally knows what Mascoutah needs, but chooses himself over the very people he promised to serve; the community. When our community needed someone to actually fight for them, on important issues that affect opportunities for often young and disadvantaged children, he appeared up, but he didn't show up.
Being present isn't the same as showing up.

Every single day The Leu Civic Center was open, there was a service being performed for the community of Mascoutah. Every day, countless children enjoyed the many free or otherwise affordable outreach programs that allowed for parents who just don't have time to be in 300 places at once, to bridge the gaps and improve childhood education; crucial to the cognitive and social development of children.
